The aims of these courses are to introduce and develop your observational skills and techniques, using pencil and a range of art materials such as charcoal, pastels, collage and paint. The courses are suitable for complete beginners. Each week there are different still-life subjects such as glassware, ceramics and other household objects including fruit and flowers or plants, to explore shape, tone, colour and pattern as well as inspire and develop your individual creative approach. There will also be inspiration from visual examples provided of artists work such as, Giorgio Morandi and Patrick Caulfield.
